This has been quite the experience. I’m really digging this sleep schedule. Yes, I’ve been dealing with some exhaustion from time to time, but generally I’ve felt very good, rested, and productive. It’s so awesome to have what feels like twice that amount of time available in the day.
Last night was one of the best for falling asleep for my core rest. Read for only about 15 minutes before I shut down. It didn’t take more than 5 minutes to fall into a deep sleep that lasted from approximately 12:30AM to 5:00AM.
Reducing coffee intake definitely helped yesterday. I’ll be sure to do it again today (even though I really miss it).
I’ve been tracking my sleep in a log. I’ve had a total of 21.25 hours of sleep this week so far and estimate I’ve gotten about 10.75 additional hours in the last three days.
[Update 12:08AM] Busy day! Never really had a chance to post.
I was definitely very tired today. I also got a headache early in the morning which grew into a massive headache right before my nap. Even now I haven’t completely gotten rid of it.
I questioned by resolve earlier today. Definitely asked myself if the fatigue was worth it. For some reason I still want to move forward, so I’m not giving up yet. I only hope that the fatigue is truly related to adaptation and that in a week or so I’ll get better.
I had a bit of a hard time falling asleep during my nap, but I’ll attribute it to the headache. I didn’t really sleep that much - tried for 90-120 minutes but probably only got 75-80 with one interruption. I might try sleeping a little longer tonight. We’ll see.
